TECHNICAL TRAINING
Understand the Product. Understand the Installation.
Installing an anchor involves more than following a set of drilling instructions.
Different anchor products can be designed for different applications, substrates, fixing methods and loading conditions. Correct installation requires the installer to understand those differences and follow the technical requirements for the product and fixing system being used.
The SRA Certified Installer Course takes installers through the principles and practical considerations relevant to installing SRA products, with training focused on the situations installers encounter in the field.
The aim is not simply to demonstrate how a product is installed, but to develop a better understanding of why the product, fixing method and installation requirements matter.
WHAT THE TRAINING COVERS
Product Knowledge You Can Apply on Site
Course content covers the SRA product range together with the technical and practical considerations involved in installation.
Product Selection
& Application
Develop an understanding of the SRA range and the intended applications of different anchor products.
Learn why product selection needs to consider the structure, substrate, fixing method, application and installation conditions rather than treating every anchor point as the same.
Structures &
Substrates
Understand the considerations involved when installing anchors into different structures and substrates.
Training addresses the importance of identifying what you are fixing into and following the appropriate product and fixing requirements for that application.
Fixing Methods
Learn about the fixing methods used across the SRA product range and why correct fixing selection is critical to the completed installation.
The course considers the relationship between the anchor, fixing, substrate and manufacturer’s installation requirements.
Installation
Requirements
Work through the practical requirements involved in correctly installing SRA products.
This includes interpreting installation documentation and understanding the product-specific requirements that need to be followed during installation.
Inspection
& Testing
Understand the role of inspection and testing as part of anchor installation and ongoing use.
Training covers the importance of following applicable product instructions, standards and testing requirements rather than treating testing as separate from the installation process.
Documentation &
Ongoing Inspection
Understand why installation records and product information are important for future inspection, maintenance and certification.
A properly documented installation provides future inspectors with important information about what has been installed and how.
